The Debian 13 life cycle encompasses five years: the initial three years of full Debian support, until August 9th, 2028, and two years of Long Term Support (LTS), until June 30th, 2030. The set of supported architectures is reduced during the LTS term.
Computer architectures supported at initial release of trixie:
- 64-bit PC (amd64)
- 64-bit ARM (AArch64)
- Hard Float ABI ARM (armhf)
- POWER Processors
- RISC-V 64-bit little endian (riscv64)
- IBM System z
Additionally:
- The legacy 32-bit PC (i386) architecture is supported only as a co-architecture for running 32-bit software on amd64
- The EABI ARM (armel) architecture is supported only for upgrades and not new installations.
Both architectures will be removed in a future release.
